What do you do day-to-day at P&G?
I am an account manager and I sell Pampers, Bounty, Charmin and Puffs to a major Canadian retailer. It is an interesting time to be on this account given the retailer is going through some major organizational changes. My role is to be an advisor to this retailer through this transition period, helping them to win market share and maximize profitability by continuing to promote our brands.

What made you choose P&G over other career options?
I chose the P&G sales organization because I wanted to learn from the best and selling is a skill that is required within every organization. P&G is among the leaders in every category in which they compete, proving that my criteria would be best fulfilled here. P&G trains their people, is innovative in their sales approach, and employs some of what I think are North America’s best Sales Masters.

Describe your most exciting day, week, or project with P&G?
My most exciting week at P&G was attending “College 1”. Within my first 6 months with Customer Business Development, P&G sent me to Cincinnati for an intense training program. I met true sales masters who have an incredible, genuine and authentic way of listening, persuading and solving problems. I also met new hires from across Canada and the US, some of whom are my closest friends now. I was humbled, inspired and energized by this week, and have used the skills I learned to grow my business and strengthen my relationships.

Describe P&G's work environment and culture.
I would describe P&G as a place where people come first, and everyone has a passion to win. This combination creates an environment where people are intensely committed to building their business, while being incredibly supportive and collaborative with one another. People at all levels of this organization, including our President, have offered to help my colleagues and me. They have regularly taken time out to mentor us through issues and challenges. There are multiple company acitivities that bring people together such as United Way, Dragon Boating, the New Hire Network etc. A passion to win is also at the core of all P&Gers. P&G is perfect for people who want a challenge, are willing to give their 110% every day, and want to help and learn from their colleagues.
