What do you day-to-day?
As a CBD Account Manager, I act as the face of P&G by collaboratively working with customers to grow our businesses. I start by performing in depth analysis in order to develop strategies that leverage P&G products and drive business for the customer. I then work collaboratively with the customer to execute the strategies that best meet their consumer needs. This process involves a lot of innovative thinking, problem solving and creativity.
What made you choose P&G over other career options?
It was an easy choice to choose P&G as a career option because it is a world class organisation. You are responsible for meaningful work the moment you walk through the door and provided with training and mentors that will allow you to excel. However, it was after researching P&G and understanding the culture and values of the organization and seeing that they aligned with my own that I chose P&G.
Describe the social aspect of your career at P&G.
I work form a home office in Vancouver and as such have limited face to face interaction with my colleagues. To create the community feel in the region we have arranged regular meet up’s for example working afternoons on patios. From an organizational standpoint there are team meetings at which time I get to interact and socialize with colleagues from across the country. Outside of the work environment the new hire network arranges social events such as watching hockey games, go karting and camping in whistler to watch crank works a mountain biking festival.
What excites you most about your future with P&G?
The thing that excites me most about my future with P&G is that you will continuously learn as you experience a variety of roles over your career. I will have the opportunity to change teams, move cities & move roles within the same company. These opportunities are presented to me up front and I see each one as a challenging learning experience that will benefit me and allow me to grow personally and contribute to the continued success of the company.
What do you consider to be your greatest achievement in your personal life?
My greatest achievement in my personal life is volunteering in Vietnam working in business development with an NGO in the Health Care field. We were able to bring two sponsor organizations on board that donated over $150,000 and continue to work as partners.
